Jessica Ridgeway missing 10-year-old Girl



Westminster, Colorado - Search in the week for 10-year-old Colorado became a murder investigation after authorities determined the body was found in a park on the outskirts of Denver, than a fifth grader Jessica Ridgway.
"Our focus has shifted from the search for Jessica mission of Justice for Jessica," Westminster Police Chief Lee Birk said Friday. "We recognize that this is a predator loose in our society."
Anxious parents kept close watch on their children. Refilling disappointment FBI again urged residents to report suspicious activity of people they know.
"We want you to look for changes in habits, habits, lack of particular around you and report it to the police," said Jim Yacone, FBI special agent in charge of Denver.
U.S. Marshals Service, immigration officers and the State Department of Corrections revised registered sex offenders in the area, Yacone said without elaborating.
Investigators have received more than 1,500 tips from the public. The government also tried more than 500 houses and more than 1,000 vehicles, but still need help the public, Yacone said.
Jessica was last seen, starting with a few steps from his home to school Witt elementary morning of 5 October. But it did not. Search hundreds of law enforcement officers did not begin until hours later because Jessica's mother works at night and slept during the conversation with the school administration said Jessica was not.
Jessica backpack was found on the sidewalk in Superior, October 7, 6 miles north-west from his home in Westminster. On Wednesday, authorities found the body in Arvada, about 7 km west of her home, in the park in Arvada. They announced the body of Jessica was a Friday.
During the week, police said Jessica was removed. They do not know their parents, Sarah and Jeremiah Ridgeway Westminster Bryant Missouri.
Signs of tragedy are everywhere, in Jessica modest house with garage of one vehicle.
Community members plan to rally on Saturday to celebrate the life of Jessica.
Officers searched the houses and courtyards and walkways kept. They took photographs of cars entering the area. Mailboxes and trees were surrounded by ribbons Jessica's favorite color, purple.
Law enforcement officials said that they would not disclose additional details, saying that could jeopardize the investigation.
The FBI says they are not excluded, that the search for the suspect may be national.
"People did not seem to know what to expect, because we do not know where this guy is or who he is or what he can do. This is the most terrible thing," said Suzette Morgan, a mother of two boys aged 13 and 8.

"I just make sure that if they leave they stick together," said Kempton. "I try not to live in fear, because ultimately it's crazy when victory."
Mary Sherman, who has a son aged 16 and two daughters aged 13 and 11, said she and her neighbors to ensure that children are supervised by an adult to trust the way to school or the bus stop.
"We still have an extraordinary community," said Sherman. "We're going."
